Speaking to the Church here- the Body of Christ. As Christians and members of the body of Christ – not just Maple Grove Missionary Baptist Church- God’s Word makes it clear that we have responsibilities toward each other:
1 We are to work together. Philippians 1:27.
2 We are to love one another. 1 Peter 1:22.
3 We are to forgive one another. Ephesians 4:32.
4 We are to comfort and encourage each other. 1 Thessalonians 4:18; Hebrews 10:24.
5 We are to bear one another’s burdens. Galatians 6:2.
6 We are to edify (build up) one another. 1 Thessalonians 5:11.
7 We are to teach and admonish each other. Colossians 3:16
8. We are to pray for one another. James 5:16.
9. We are to look out for each other’s interests. Philippians 2:3-4.
How are we doing with these responsibilities? Do a self-checkup!
We are all one in Christ, so I encourage you to take these Words of God to heart, and apply them in your lives. It will help keep the unity of the Spirit, and fellowship among believers.
