Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Packing Party (in Fellowship Hall). Come help pack these shoeboxes; we have over 300 to fill!
This year is the 30th anniversary for sharing the Gospel through Christmas Child Shoeboxes. It started with 11,000 shoeboxes in 1993 and has grown to an expected shipment of 11 million this year. A 13-year old boy named Manar felt the love of Jesus through a shoebox and came to realize God’s greatness. He’s grown now and still has a stuffed bear in a red sweater, a monkey-shaped keychain and an Etch-a-Sketch he called “my iPad” that he received. He’ll never forget the letter that was in his box telling him: “Jesus loves you and I’m praying for you.” Today Manar is a doctor in the United States and coordinates shoeboxes at his church. ~from the Samaritan’s Purse Newsletter/October 2023
