No, I am not talking about the side dishes for Thanksgiving dinner, important as that may be. What I do want to talk about in this post is choosing how to spend our time. The Apostle Paul wrote to the believers at Ephesus encouraging them to:
walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:15-17. So, what are the wise choices for spending our time during this busy time of the year?
1. Choose to spend time with the Father (see Mark 1:35; Matthew 14:23; Luke 6:12-13);
2. Choose to pray for others (see Colossians 4:2-3);
3. Choose to encourage other people in their Christian walk (see Ephesians 4:29);
4. Choose to seek wisdom from the Father (see James 1:5);
5. Choose to find and do the Father’s will (see Ephesians 5:17);
6. Choose to thank God in everything (see 1 Thessalonians 5:18); and
7. Choose to honor God with every minute!
