This year, October will be our Mission & Evangelism month at Maple Grove. We’ll be visited by Rose & Rudy French to get a report of all God is doing in their lives as they spread the word of God worldwide. We’ll pray as our two new International Mission Board missionaries, Bronson & Christina Morgan, take their place in Ecuador. We’ll look forward to supporting both for years to come, Lord willing.
But we’re also going to get down to a personal level. People have many questions:
- What are our individual roles in missions and evangelism right where we are?
- Are there any requirements we must meet to spread the word of God?
- What should motivate a local missionary or evangelist?
- Why should we be concerned over the lost?
- How do we deal with obstacles in witnessing when they arise?
- What prevents us from following God’s call to tell others about Him?
- What is our message?
- Is our past too bad to be used by God to spread His Word?
The Bible has clear answers to all these questions and equips us to share the message God intends for us to share with families, our local community, and the world. You will not need a theology degree, so don’t worry. Scripture will reveal that someone who truly encounters Jesus Christ has a story to tell about what Jesus did for them – and that’s what the Gospel is all about.
Join us each Sunday in October as we explore God’s Word about our role as missionaries and evangelists right where we are!
