Did you know that Christians are citizens of God’s Kingdom right now? All who accept Christ as Lord and Savior become members of that Kingdom forever.
So, what does that mean in our lives? Well, in 2023, we will spend our year learning about that Kingdom.
On Sunday mornings, we’ll learn about Kingdom living from the teachings of Jesus Christ, focusing on the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7. We will listen as the Great Shepherd teaches us about relating to others, and relating to God. What does it really mean to live the Christian life? What does to take to be truly saved? Great lessons from the greatest teacher of all time.
On Sunday evenings, we’ll learn about our God. We’re going to take the attributes of God described in the Bible and learn about each one in detail. We want to know and honor our King. We’ll start by asking some questions in January – What are he benefits of Knowing God? Where can I find God? Then, we’ll dive deep into learning about our Awesome God. You may meet the God you haven’t fully known before – which will encourage you to share Him with others.
On Wednesday evenings, in our small group Bible studies, we will focus on what I call Kingdom belief. In short, making sure we know what we believe and why we believe it. We’ll look at 46 terms or phrases that get used in church all the time, and make sure we understand exactly what the Bible says they mean. This will be another way to get to know our King this year.
So, I encourage you to join us at Maple Grove Missionary Baptist Church each and every time the doors are open. The more we know our God, the more we will trust Him. The more we trust Him, the more He will be able to use us in His work. And the more He uses us in His work, the more Glory is given to the Father. And let’s now forget, we were created to bring Him Glory. Isaiah 43:7.
We look forward to seeing you at Maple Grove!
