The Continuing Importance of Vacation Bible School

It’s VBS month – busy, busy, busy!!!  But oh, so important.  We have the opportunity to present the Gospel message – and show the Gospel message – to all those who attend. I am thankful for those who have volunteered to help over one of the hardest – yet most rewarding – weeks of the entire year. I am also thankful for those of you who cannot help physically, but can offer your prayer support.  It is no less vital.  Thank you to all.

We’re going to look at this in more depth on Wednesday night, June 8 (so come join us), but in case you cannot make it, I want to remind everyone why we still “do VBS.”  Why do we still “do” it, particularly when the world says it’s an outdated thing?

1.       It may be the only way some of the kids who attend ever get to hear the Gospel of Salvation. Romans 10:17.

2.       It helps the kids stay strong in their beliefs. Psalm 119:9.

3.       It leads kids to true Success – living in the Will of God. Joshua 1:8.

4.       VBS provides a unique opportunity for the core of our church to serve together

5.       VBS gives kids time to worship God

6.       KIDS LOVE IT!

Please pray for VBS and all those involved. Thank you and hope to see you at Maple Grove’s VBS – June 13 – 17 @ 6:30 P.M.  EVERYONE is also invited to the Family Day on Saturday, June 18th @ 3 P.M.
