Welcome. This year, April brings us to the celebration of what we call Resurrection Sunday, or Easter, in which we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ from the dead after His crucifixion, as He had told His disciples would happen. This was the most important event in human history – for without it, no man or woman would have any hope in this life.
This month in our worship at Maple Grove, we’re going to focus our attention on Jesus, and just what he went through on the way to the Cross – not just on the Cross. We’ll look at that also, but really get deep into the Scriptures that take us from His Glorious and prophesied entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, through all His confrontations with the Scribes and Pharisees, His betrayal, His “trial” and ultimately, His crucifixion.
In addition to our regular services, beginning Monday, April 11 – and continuing through Good Friday, April 15 – I will be posting daily Bible readings and explaining what happened each day of this week, which was the most important week in human history. Check back here every day after 7:30 A.M. to see what happened in Jesus’ life that very day of Passion Week, and search the Scriptures with me to know – and love – Him more.
And don’t forget – everyone is invited to our showing of Risen on Good Friday, April 15, at 6 P.M. I promise that you will be blessed if you take the time to watch this movie.
Have you encountered the Risen Christ? That’s the question for each and every day. If you have not yet encountered Him, let someone at Maple Grove know you’d like to meet Him, and come visit us.
