As we look at our world today, we see a desperate attempt to make Jesus anything but God, as He claimed to be. He might be described as an agent of social justice, the ultimate bringer of tolerance, or maybe just as a good man, a great teacher or a wonderful prophet. All those things cause many to respect Jesus.
But they don’t lead to Worship. Paul explained to the Romans that understanding who Jesus really was – and what he had done for them – would reasonably lead to one particular response. And it was NOT mere respect. Rather, it was worship and service. Romans 12:1.
The Bible is replete with the responses of men and women whom Jeus had touched – and they worshipped. They did not just admire. They did not just respect.
Think about it. Do you worship Him? What is worship? In the Hebrew language, the term literally meant to “bow down.” In the Greek, it means to “encounter God and praise Him.” Do you do that?
Jesus was fully God – and He is deserving of our true worship. In 2025, we will be exalting Jesus at Maple Grove, lifting Him higher – as He deserves to be! We’ll be bowing before the Creator God of the Universe – the great I AM. We’ll see what Scripture reveals about Him in full – and we’ll see that Scripture demands a response – of worship.
So, we look forward to seeing you at Maple Grove! Come WORSHIP Jesus Christ the Lord with us!
