“It’s A Jungle Out There”

Is it ever?  Our children are exposed to all kinds of things, and we need to make sure they are grounded in sound Biblical teaching to properly interpret what comes at them, and to make sense of all the differing things they hear.

That’s why this year’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Maple Grove is going to be the Great Jungle Journey – a trip through history to learn the significant event of history for God’s perspective, in order to make sense of our lives today.

We’ll learn about Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross and Consummation – all of history (but you can read it “His-Story”) wrapped up in 7 C’s.  It will give your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, friends next door, eighth cousins once removed (you get my meaning – anyone!) the right perspective on history – our past, present and future.

I want to extend my deepest appreciation to those who have volunteered to help over one of the hardest – yet most rewarding – weeks of the entire year. We appreciate everything you do!  And I am thankful for those who cannot help physically but can offer prayer support.  It is no less vital.  Thank you to all.

Although I do this every year, in some form or fashion, I want to remind everyone why Maple Grove hosts VBS.  Please remember these goals in your prayers:

1.       It allows the kids who attend to hear the Gospel of Salvation and about the love of Jesus Christ. Romans 10:17.

2.       It helps the kids stay strong in their beliefs. Psalm 119:9.

3.       It leads kids to true Success – living in the Will of God. Joshua 1:8.

4.       It provides a unique opportunity for our church family to serve together.

5.       It gives kids time to worship God.

6.       KIDS LOVE IT!

Please pray for VBS and all those involved. Thank you and hope to see you at Maple Grove’s VBS – June 10 – 14 @ 6:00 P.M.  EVERYONE is also invited to the Family Day on Saturday, June 15th @ 4 P.M.
