This month, we will celebrate the birth of our great nation, the United States of America. We are blessed to be part of a nation founded on Christian values. Unfortunately, our freedoms are eroding as our nation continues to slip farther away from the God of our forefathers. Join us on July 4th for a special look at how God’s children can use the gifts of liberty and freedom. Let’s truly seek God’s face and pray for our nation as we celebrate our independence on July 4.
This month is also our Vacation Bible School, running from July 12-15. The opportunity to share the Word of God with the young people who will attend is a gift from God also. All are encouraged to attend. This year’s theme is “Destination Dig.” Kids will unearth more than dirt as they “dig up” evidence that proves biblical events were not just exciting stories. Please pray that the kids attending will seek God with their hearts, as the Bible promises that God reveals Himself to those who seek Him with all their hearts. Jeremiah 29:13.
Once Vacation Bible School is over, we will settle back down to some solid Bible study and prayer time. We will be moving forward in our study of Revelation and the End Times on Sunday Evenings, and looking at what Jesus said about Himself on Sunday mornings. I call it “the Autobiography of Jesus.” On Wednesday nights, we will continue with our praise and prayer time, followed by small group Bible study on a couple of really challenging topics for believers in today’s world.
If you cannot join us in person, remember you can follow services online or even on the radio if you want to listen to services outside church in your car, and let’s see God at work in creation, in our country and in our lives! God loves each and every one of you, and He wants you to come closer to Him and know Him better. So, come join us.
We hope to see you at Maple Grove!
